Since the re-release of Final Fantasy VII for PC was a success, Square has announced that they will re-release Final Fantasy VIII for PC in Japan. The game will feature a high res makeover (not an HD makeover). It has not yet been announced whether there will be achievements, or additional content added to the upgrade. A release date has yet to be announced, as well as if the high res version will make it to North America.
It has been a while since we have seen the rotund yellow chomper in his own game. However, the fine folks over at Namco Bandai are bringing him back in PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventure! You can also see PAC-MAN return to television when he debuts his new animated adventures over at Disney on June 17th!
You can expect to see PAC-MAN hit the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii U this fall. A special side-scrolling edition will release for the 3DS (I love side-scrollers, but why put one on the 3DS?)
Ready for another Pokemon X and Pokemon game trailer? I know, stupid question! Check out the video below, and share your awe with us! Oh, and in case you haven’t heard, the game will be split into three different areas within the Karos region (which is based on France). The regions will be split into coastal, central, and mountainous, and the gamer will need to complete an area before moving on to the next. Does this news raise more questions, or foster more excitement?
A recent discussion revolving around the worst battle move in a Final Fantasy game had me thinking about the worst teammate in a video game series. What made that teammate so bad, why were they even included in the game, and why did, or didn’t, you actually use that teammate in game? Obviously, there are some teammates that you cannot help but to use, for example Navi. Obviously, she serves a purpose…albeit a very annoying one. Others include Cutrus, the bird from 8-eyes, and some maybe even Edward from Final Fantasy 4.
Without including NPCs, who would you nominate as the worst supporting video game teammate?
