Disney’s Wreck It Ralph: Bowser Too Small

Whenever a movie Company combines multiple franchises, there are bound to be minor disagreements.  It seems as though Wreck it Ralph was no exception.

It seems that Nintendo was the first to put their “two cents” in by saying that Bowser was too small in the movie, and had asked the production team to make him bigger.

““We did have kind of a check-in process, where we would show them the footage and say, ‘What do you think? Is it good?’ At one point, [Nintendo] said, ‘Bowser’s much bigger than that. He’s way bigger than Zangief.’ We were like, ‘Okay, we’ll make him bigger. How’s that?’ They’d say, ‘Yes, that’s good — but he wouldn’t drink his coffee like that. He wouldn’t make that mouth.’ [Laughs] Of course, then people from Sega said, ‘Well, Doctor Robotnik is bigger.’ [Laughs] They wanted their characters bigger and bigger. We were going to end up with these giants in a room, with Ralph as this little guy…””, said director Rich Moore.

I can only imagine the looks on the faces of Rich Moore and producer Clark Spencer as the developers bickered back and forth regarding their characters.  I wonder if Roger Rabbit had issues like this?

Speaking of Roger Rabbit, Rumor has it that there is talk of a part two!  I am not sure if I am excited about this or not, but if it is true I will check it out!
