As I am sure you are all aware, Kotaku announced last week that Final fantasy Versus XIII was cancelled.  The salty tears of the fanboys and girls could be felt the world over.  Well, rejoice!  Square has finally countered Kotakus story with an announcement of their own (but why four full days later?)

“There’s someone making a false rumour that Versus was cancelled,” he said. “Haha… just a minute ago, the regular Versus meeting ended. If you saw the presentation of the city, it’d knock you off your feet – lol.”, said Yoichi Wade via twitter.

I don’t believe anyone really believed that Final Fantasy Versus XIII was going to fade away to obscurity.  Even I had some theories on what might have been.  Although our tears of sadness have turned to sighs of relief, we are still waiting for the official release.  Are you excited that the rumors are false?
