The Immortal Super Mario Bros. Cartridge

It’s Friday, so let’s sit back, relax, and remember the days when gaming was simple.  Days that didn’t require us to treat our games as though they were glass slippers by carefully handling them by the edge and gently snapping them into their protective cases.

Let’s look back to the days when we could just throw a cartridge into a backpack where it finds a hole, just big enough to escape.  Remember the depression that set in when you realized the game was lost, but the joy that overcame you when you found the game a year later in a pile of leaves outside?  And don’t forget how you felt when you pushed the cartridge into the system and it played immediately!

This is a tribute to those times…
